AquaMarker video tutorial

Today I have a technique that is new to me, but maybe not so much everyone else. AquaMarkers are a very new product to me. In fact, working with water anything is new to me! I knew I wanted something I could do that is quick and easy, but could achieve a beautiful finish. Coloring on a stamp block is new to me, and the end result is just beautiful! With the new AquaMarkers, the colors are endless! That’s what I love about AquaMarkers, you can mix yellow and blue to make green!

To add the beautiful shimmer, I used Lindy’s Stamp Gang’s Creme Brulee Cream.

Letraset has generously donated a set of the new AquaMarkers for me to giveaway to one of my blog readers. If you’re interested in winning a set of twenty BRAND NEW AquaMarkers, simply comment below, and head over to Letraset’s blog and comment there as well! Easy peasy!

New Neon Markers from Letraset!

Woooo!! I LOVE new markers. Well, maybe that’s a lie. I love new COLORS! These certainly don’t disappoint either. Letraset has new… NEON markers, and they are… awesome!!

The colors are incredible. Did I mention, they’re NEON!? Have you seen the awesome Neon projects floating around the web lately? And now, you can have your own rockin’ markers to do some of those awesome projects! They’re so juicy and wonderfully easy to work with.

You can check out my post about this project on the Letraset blog.

Hope you’ll check out the Anything But A Card challenge as well. Just a few more days to enter, the first challenge. 🙂

PDS115 & Letraset (FlexMarker) giveaway!

The challenge this week, at Pixie Dust Studio, is to case an old card. So I went through some of my older PDS cards, and found one that inspired me!

Picked a color combination…

And created this:

Somewhere along the lines, I lost the blue… but, I loved the green and orange together!

I used Pixi Lilly for this card. You can get her as a free digi download from Kathy HERE. She’ll be perfect to use for this weeks challenge!

Instead of using copics, I’ve been using FlexMarkers (and a few ProMarkers as well). So, for this image, I used several different colors, which are photographed below. If you’re not able to read my writing, please feel free to email me! jessica@canyoupixelthis.com

The letters next to each (P/F) just indicate if it was a ProMarker or FlexMarker that I’ve used. I’ve done a rather sloppy review of the markers, which include information about a giveaway. 🙂

Letraset has kindly donated one set of 12 FlexMarkers to one of my blog followers! I’m going to sweeten the deal by offering an additional set of 12 FlexMarkers to one of my TWITTER followers!

I have a video, that will take another 2 hours to upload, but, once it’s live, I’ll edit this post to add in the video.  The video is now live! In the meantime, follow on my blog, and follow on Twitter for your chance to win! Winners will be contacted by March 1st.

Happy Thursday friends!

I’ve added this card to the following challenges:
Phindy’s Place Challenge #93: Bling it up!
Moving Along With The Times: Lots of layers!
Stamp and Create: Valentine’s and Love.
Sarah Hurley Challenge: Die Cuts!
Paperplay Challenges: For a female relative!

Cute Card Thursday: Winged Things.

This week at Pixie Dust Studio, we were challenged to use a tag. I don’t mind making tags, I actually like to. I created and used a color palette from COLOURlovers. If you’re not familiar with CL (COLOURlovers) it’s a website chalk full of color palettes! Can be very inspiring when you’re stuck in a rut as I have been. I’m not convinced being sick since August 5th has anything to do with it!

Here’s my tag…

Pixie Dust Studio’s Miss Lolli Pop
Copics: Y21, 23, YR15, E0000, 000, 01, 93, N0, 1, 3, RV000, 13, 14, 93, BG0000, 10, 49, 70

And this month at Papertrey Ink, the August blog hop challenge is photo based. Here’s the photo…

I loved the colors and the flowers, and the jar with the fabric piece tied around it… but, what I saw the most was the pattern on the suitcase. Unfortunately I do not have a stamp like that so I had to improvise!

Background Basics: Text Style II
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink

I stamped the text style with two different kinds of Distress Ink. I used Versa Mark to stamp the images onto the present. Perfect birthday card! 😉

.Papertrey Ink blog hop: March.

Good morning!!

I didn’t have a whole lot of time this month to make more than one card, but, the one card I did make, I colored the heck out of!

I LOVE Tulips! When I saw the Friendship Jar Spring Fillers… it was one I had to have! 🙂

I stamped the image using Brilliance Graphite Black as opposed to my normal Memento Tuxedo Black. I really like the look of the Graphite Black once it’s stamped. It seems to be darker, and richer. I colored the tulips with RV55, RV63 and RV66. I colored the leaves with YG61 and YG67. I colored the “water” inside of the jar with BG000 and BG01. I colored the lid for the jar with T2 and T4.

I cut the tulips after they were completely colored. Then I stamped the jar and cut that out too. I also cut the top part of the jar, from the jar. I used my Scotch quick dry to adhere everything to the card. I started by putting down the jar, then the flowers, then I tied on some DMC floss and added the top part of the jar. After I cut it, I went back over it all with my memento dual marker- I did that so the edges weren’t white.

Happy friday!! Hope you have a great weekend!!
