I’m pretty excited! If you follow me on FaceBook, you already know I’ve been chosen as Spellbinders guest blogger, after they reached a FaceBook milestone of 12,000 “likes.” I’ve had the pleasure of working with Kelly on this project, and when she said they were going to be doing a “spring cleaning” theme… well, I couldn’t resist!

In my attempts at Spring Cleaning I’ve unearthed a (brand new) set of Lacey Circles, a set I loved so much I actually bought twice! Although I could exchange this set out for another, I decided to give them away instead. Besides, that’s more fun, right!

I was really hoping to create something new for the feature, but time slipped away and we are actually moving from Texas to Washington State… we leave Thursday (like, tomorrow)!
Anyways, I picked four cards to feature with my spring cleaning post. Although they aren’t new, they do offer something I hope will inspire you. In addition to a few video tutorials.
I created this card for my sister’s 21st birthday (which is also tomorrow- the 5th). The details of the card can be seen by clicking the card image itself. There is a video that shows you how I’ve added some finishing details that really complete the image.

Lovely cards Jessica and best wishes for your move. I store my spellbinders on large fridge magnets (esp. the calendar type that real estate companies send) and then they go in a box which I store with my big shot.

Oh, how fun being on the Spellbinders’ design team! I’m sure you have a blast!
Thank you for this opportunity to win a set of lacy circles. I keep my Spellbinders in their original packages, in a small plastic storage bin with my embossing folders & pates (which I also keep in their packages). Earlier this week I saw someone use magnetic sheets in a notebook to keep their Spellbinders organized//together. I’ve got some similar sheets of magnet material & plan to try that out.

I store my dies in a ring binder, I have attached magnetic sheets to each page and stick them on that. It’s not ideal as some of them keep falling out…. still searching for the ideal solution.

Congratulations on the guest design spot! I store my spellbinders dies on hooks on the wall. The “nest” quite nicely, one hook for each shape!

Hey Jessica since I only have 2 sets of dies so far I just keep mine in a small plastic case and keep them in another larger plastic case so I can take them with me to crops….I love this set but don’t have it yet….I would love to win these. Thanks for the chance!
Oh Jessica – I love all of these cards! They are beautifully colored and the images are all so sweet! Speaking of sweet, this set is one of my favorite sets of Spellbinders – have always wanted to own it! Thanks for the chance to win it 🙂 I had to admit it, but I own 1 SB die – I covet most of them, but my budget has not allowed me to actually buy any – the one I own I won from a blog hop! So, really I have no storage ideas for SB dies lol. But reading the comments above has given me some great ideas if I ever get a collection of them 🙂
Your cards are really cute. Good luck on the move. Sounds like you will have a lot of adjusting ahead. Like you I have tried different ways to store my spellbinders. Right now I store mine in a cd box. I do like the book idea. When I get new stamps I stamp them out then store in a binder. This really helps to keep up. I will have to do the same with my Spellbinders. Thanks and Good Luck.
Congratulations on your guest blogging. I store my dies with magnetic strips in DVD cases. They stay put and are easy to use. Love your organization notebook system. It is very similar to what I have done. It does take a while to do but it does make things so easy to find.
loved looking at your 2 pictures of your scrap room! So nice to see everyone does get crazy and not have time to tidy up….wink wink… so i store my few dies, in the side pocket of a large carrying case , i do not have to many at the moment!!!

I love your crafting space, it’s beautiful. I don’t know how you do anything with 3 little ones, I babysit one baby and can’t find time to keep my house clean, much less get much crafting done. I keep my Spellbinders standing in an open box, on their original cards so I can flip through them like a file. Your system seems quite handy. I’m glad to get a viewpoint on the cd case vs. the magnetic folder…I’ve been contemplating both. Thank you for the tips!
Good luck with your move, that is always challenging! Your cards are really cute and I like your organization binder. I store my dies in a CD storage binder – the kind with the pockets. I’ve cut a square of magnet paper to slip into each pocket and that holds the dies in place. I have a label with the die name and # stuck on the front.
I hope one day to be half as organized as you are! Thanks for the tips from your post over at Spellbinders. I store most of them in CD cases…but several of the newer ones do not fit in the CD cases, so I currently have them in the original packaging. I like the idea of magnetic folders…where did you get yours?

Congratulations on being guest designer and WELCOME TO THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST. North of Seattle is the wonderful Skagit Valley and if you’re arriving in April, take a day trip (in the middle of the week has smaller crowds) to our Tulip Festival and fields and fields of Tulips. I store my Spellbinder dies on magnet sheets in different size boxes depending upon the size of the dies and the boxes are labeled. However, your cabinet’s almost bigger than my craftroom, but what can you expect in a 125 year old house that is less than 800 sq ft. Loved your cards and your crafting area and I’m so glad to see I’m not the only one who gets disorganized when I craft. Thanks for sharing. And Welcome to Washington State
Your crafting space is amazing and I absolutely adore your cards! They are fabulous! I store my spellbinders in the original packaging and then in a small bin and I can just flip through them BUT you have totally inspired me to create a binder like yours. Thanks for sharing!

I came via the Spellbinder’s blog. How do I store them? Well, I just bought a Grand Calibur a few weeks ago and only have 2, so I’m storing them right next to my GC for now. 😉 However, I got a lot of good tips from your post and will likely do something similar. Thanks for the tips and the great tutorial at Spellbinder’s. Congratulations, too, on being picked to guest blog. Maybe we’ll see you as a regular one of these days.
