First up, Papertrey Inks monthly blog hop!

It was another inspiration photo…

When I look at this photo, the only thing I see is ORANGE!! The orange curtains! I love the color, how rich and deep it is. So I decided to play along with the Playdate Cafe’s challenge of black and white with just ONE COLOR of your choice and JUST A SPLASH! Fun!

I used Papertrey Ink’s Year of Flowers Collection. Added my splash of orange…

And stamped on seam binding using Versa Fine. I used two individual stamps: “Thanks” and “Friend” from Papertrey’s Modern Basics collection.

I really like the simplicity of this. The black and white with one color. Quick and easy yet, attractive.

And be sure to hop on over to Heart Song’s inspiration blog– they have an “anything goes challenge” for which I submitted this card…

The rose image is from Heart Song and can be found in their ‘birth flowers‘ section.

Happy Monday friends!! Hope you have a wonderful day!! πŸ™‚

  1. I’m really loving your blog hop card, so striking! Those flowers were the perfect choice for the color combo, and I just had to bookmark this so I can, ahem, “borrow” the idea later!
    Thanks for sharing!

  2. Hi Jessica – great to have you playing along at the Play Date Cafe this week with our colour splash which you have used so well with that splash of orange πŸ™‚

  3. I love how everyone interprets the picture so differently, and I definitely didn’t see it this way, but I’m so glad you did because its awesome!

  4. FABulous splash of orange! Love how you stamped all those flowers in b & w, and just one with orange. THanks for playing with us at The PLay Date CAfe!

  5. Love that you stamped the sentiment on that ribbon and you’ve done such an amazing job using just a “splash” of color. Thank you so much for joining in on the color splash at The Play Date Cafe.
