I picked up some silicone heart molds at Target for $2.50 and a box of 64 crayons for less than $2.00-

We had a crayon peeling party on Thursday! My husband did the best, who would have thought! And Friday we had a crayon melting party!

We started out by breaking the crayons apart and matching colors to make “pretty” heart-shaped crayons, instead of brown ones.

*I would NOT recommend spraying the molds with pam, or any non-stick spray.*

Preheat the oven to 250 then put the crayons in the oven. In about seven minutes the crayons should have melted. Take them out and put them in the freezer to cool, if you’re impatient like I am. It will take about an hour for them to cool. Otherwise they can cool at room temperature.

Friendly reminder! Don’t bang the mold on the counter top or you’ll have broken hearts.

These make great Valentine’s Day gifts! 😉

  1. Cool Idea, wish I had seen this earlier as it would be a great grandchild/gramma valentine project to use up all the broken crayons and I already have the mold!!
